An immersive exhibition celebrating the people, places, stories, and perspectives that make Black Miami what it is.

During one of the biggest art weeks in Miami, The Love Below Collective presents The Black Miami 2026 — an immersive exhibition created to center Black Miami through the eyes of the people who live it, experience it, create within it, and carry its stories forward.

Miami is often introduced through its beaches, nightlife, luxury, tourism, and the destinations that attract the world to our city. But there is another Miami — one with its own history, neighborhoods, traditions, gathering places, sounds, style, language, relationships, and creative energy.

The Black Miami is about that Miami.

This exhibition is an opportunity to document, interpret, and celebrate the many ways Black life exists throughout South Florida. We are interested in the familiar and the overlooked. The historic and the everyday. The people, places, moments, memories, and experiences that may not always make it into the official picture of Miami, but are deeply connected to its identity.

We are inviting Black photographers, filmmakers, and poets to contribute their perspectives to this experience. Submissions are due by October 12th 2026.
